About Us

AMICA e.V. was founded in 1993 in response to the horrific wartime atrocities occurring in Bosnia-Herzegovina. What began as an emergency humanitarian relief project quickly expanded into a model project in Tuzla, Bosnia-Herzegovina offering psychosocial consulting to women in situations of crisis and conflict. Today AMICA e.V. is working with partner-organizations  in Bosnia-Herzegovina, Kosovo, Chechnya, the Palestinian territories and Libya.

AMICA e.V. is recognized as a non-profit, unincorporated organization. Our head office is located in Freiburg im Breisgau, Germany, where projects are developed and carried out in close cooperation with partner organizations.
